BC Quantum Gateway
A front door to BC’s quantum ecosystem, promoting the province’s capabilities and bringing companies, researchers, industry users and investors together to develop partnerships and advance quantum innovation and commercialization.
BC Quantum Opportunity Fund
A proposed funding initiative to help promising, partner-led projects move forward by sharing development risk and attracting matching support for applied quantum technologies and real-world applications.

WHY QUANTUM COMPUTING?

The speed at which quantum computers can solve the world’s most complex problems is going to be a potential game-changer across virtually every industry. In fact, Nobel Laureate Bill Philips has said that “your Macbook has more in common with an abacus than it does with a quantum computer”.

Quantum computers run on tiny subatomic particles called qubits, which allow them to explore infinite possibilities at the same time. This means quantum computing has the potential to address some of the most persistent problems on earth, like climate change or health care.
