Government of Canada Launches $50M Call for Defence Innovation Secure Hubs (DISH)

The Government of Canada has launched a Call for Proposals to establish new Defence Innovation Secure Hubs (DISHs), with up to $50 million in non-repayable funding over two years to advance mission-focused research in quantum technologies and uncrewed systems. Led by BOREALIS, the initiative aims to accelerate the transition of cutting-edge Canadian innovations from lab to field by providing secure environments where industry, academia, not-for-profits, and defence end users can collaborate on testing, validation, and integration. The call is open until April 2, and presents a strong opportunity for the BC innovation community to come together, build multidisciplinary partnerships, and help shape Canada’s next generation of sovereign defence capabilities.
