Province Backs Quantum Research to Grow Tech Economy

The Province of British Columbia is investing more than $90,000 in quantum computing equipment at the University of Victoria as part of a broader $1.9-million research infrastructure investment through the BC Knowledge Development Fund. Supporting the Province’s Look West strategy, the funding will advance quantum research, enable industry collaboration, and provide hands-on training for students preparing for careers in emerging technology sectors. The investment reinforces BC’s commitment to innovation, economic growth and global leadership in quantum technology.
