NRC IRAP Defence Industry Assist

The Government of Canada has announced over $240 million to strengthen support for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses developing defence and dual-use technologies, delivered through the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP). The investment launches Defence Industry Assist (DI Assist), a new NRC IRAP pathway designed to help innovative SMEs advance defence- and security-relevant technologies from development and testing through to readiness for adoption. This is highly relevant to those working in areas such as quantum sensing, secure communications, advanced computing, materials, cybersecurity, and enabling technologies with dual-use potential.
